An easy party recipe, these oven-baked Cuban Pulled Pork Sliders are layered with melted swiss cheese, pulled pork, ham slices, and pickles. Always a hit!
Today is a big football game day in our home. I wanted an easy, warm, cheesy, and yummy recipe that didn't take time from watching the game and boy are these Cuban Pulled Pork Sliders good. Inspired by the Famous Cuban Sandwich, these pork sliders are baked to a golden brown with Dijon butter on sweet bread. Let me tell you why you're going to LOVE this easy pork sliders recipe...
Why You're Going to Love Cuban Pulled Pork Sliders!
If you're looking for the perfect party recipe or Game Day recipe, you NEED to have this recipe in your life. They're easy to make and are always a huge hit.
Layers of pulled pork, Black Forest Ham, and melty gooey Swiss Cheese, and crispy pickles make the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. Who wouldn't love a dish like that?
These sliders only take a couple of minutes to prepare, and they are worth every second. The rolls get crispy by being brushed with the butter/Dijon mixture. Hello I think I would eat that on just about anything.
You can make them even better by making your own pulled pork in the oven. Homemade pulled pork is ridiculously good and much easier to make than you may think. I'll give you my favorite recipe later in the post!
Just look at them. Don't you want to take a bite of this right now...
Ingredients Needed for Cuban Pulled Pork Sliders
14 Hawaiian sweet bread rolls
¼ lb Black Forest sliced ham, sliced into 3x3 square
2 lb pulled pork
1 package sliced Swiss cheese, cut into small 3x3 squares
Butter or Dill Pickles, sliced thin
1 cube butter
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
TIP: The crisp pickles add a salty crunch, we tried both dill and sweet bread and butter pickles. Both were just as good, so pick your pickle and bake these little babies up!
How Do You Make Easy Pulled Pork?
Take a look at this recipe to make Pork Loin Pulled Pork: Oven Roasted Low and Slow... no smoker required! The recipe will give you 2 lb pulled pork, which is exactly what you need for these pulled pork sliders! Trust me when I say it is 110% worth the extra (but minimal) effort to make your own pulled pork.
Fun fact: the Cuban Sandwich actually originated in Miami, Florida! Of course, they serve them in Cuba to make the tourists happy (like me when I Cuba in January 2016), but they are not a traditional Cuban dish.

Why is a Small Hamburger Called a Slider?
If you're wondering where the term "slider" came from, it's believed to have originated from White Castle's "slyder," a term they trademarked and used between 1985 and 2009. "Slider" is meant to be used only to describe small steam-grilled sandwiches, but it's often used now to describe any small burger.
Zippy, crunchy Mini Taco Bowls drizzled in easy "Mexican Crema" sauce and topped with cheese, black olives, and pickled jalapeños with taco meat filling.
Cuban Pulled Pork Sliders are brushed with butter dijon sauce, baked until golden brown with melted swiss cheese, pulled pork and ham, and pickles. Serve on game days!
