Use a good caramel sauce like a salted caramel sauce or make a really tasty homemade caramel sauce.

    Pin

In a small serving bowl, spread the dip mixture evenly, then drizzle 4 or so tablespoons of good caramel sauce on top of the cream cheese layer.

Unwrap the Heath bars and chop them on a cutting board into a small pieces. Then sprinkle the chopped Heath bars on top.

    Pin

You can use Granny Smith green apples, or Honeycrisp apples! The best way to keep your apples from turning brown, is to squeeze a little lemon juice into a medium size bowl.

    Pin

Use an apple slicer, knife, or melon ball to scoop out the seeds. Slice apples into ½" apple slices. Toss the sliced apples in lemon juice to coat which keeps them white, and will stop the browning.

PRO TIP: Squeeze the lemon juice in a medium-sized bowl and toss the apples to keep them white and pretty.

And yes, I got a text for the recipe the next day!

    How To Serve Your Dip

Place the dip bowl in the center of a round platter, and then arrange the cut fresh apple slices in a spiral around the dip.

    Caramel Apple Dip FAQ

Does creamy caramel apple dip need to be refrigerated?

Yes, it has cream cheese and should be chilled until about an hour before serving.

Yes, make the dip ahead, and chop the toffee candy. Pull out a couple of hours before the party, sprinkle the cut the candy bars on top, and cut and arrange the apple slices right before your event.

    What are dessert dips?

There are so many recipes for fun dessert dips. They use simple ingredients and are a sweet cremy dip mix usually with cream cheese and paired with dippers like cookies that are so fun for kids and parties. Try some caramel apple nachos, or mix up a smore dip with graham crackers as the dippers. Or try an oreo cookie dip studded with chocolate chips with ginger snaps, animal crackers, or vanilla wafers.

You can use any color or kinds of apple for this recipe, I love the way the green apple slices look, but this would be great with red Honeycrisp apples.
