Fresca: You can swap out the Fresca with lemon-lime soda like 7up or sour mix.

Top these delicious cocktails with equal parts of club soda water, stir and enjoy.

    Shamrock Sprinkle Garnish

    1. To create the clover sprinkle rim, melt white chocolate wafers in microwave according to the package.
    2. Dye with green drops. PRO TIP: you must use special chocolate food coloring or the chocolate candy wafers will seize and not melt.
    3. Pour the St. Patrick's Day sprinkles on a plate. Green sugar works too!
    4. Dip the rim of a glass in the melted chocolate, then dip the rim into the sprinkles. Let the chocolate set, and mix your drink!
    5. These vivid green drinks also look great in copper mugs, a punch bowl, or highball glass.

    What is Midori Melon Liquor?

Midori Melon Liquor is a sweet, bright green-colored, muskmelon-flavored liqueur made by Suntory in Japan, the United States, Mexico, and France. It was first released in 1964 under the name "Hermes Melon Liqueur", but changed its name to "Midori" in 1978. Its name is the Japanese word for "green" (緑).

The Midori formulated in France is sweeter than the original Japanese version. Classic cocktails made with Midori include the Japanese Slipper and a Midori Sour. There are now countless drink recipes with Midori all over the world.

    Green Cocktails and Drinks FAQ

How do you create green cocktails?

For all shades of pale to vivid bright green drinks, use different liqueurs or natural ingredients for that pop of color to mix up a perfect drink!

There are endless cocktails ideas online for holidays like Christmas, Halloween, and St. Patrick's Day drinks.

Try a green liqueur like Midori, Absinthe, Green Chartreuse, or Crème de menthe.

Garnish with small pieces of herbs like rosemary, a mint sprig, basil leaves, lemon verbena, fresh oregano, and thyme sprigs all look great as garnishes in a cocktail recipe.

Use vegetables like cucumber slices, celery sticks, jalapeno peppers, olives, green beans, and chilies in a green bloody mary.

Grab some margarita glasses and whip up some green margaritas in an electric blender with a drop or two of green food color and garnish with a lime wheel.

Try fruits like a lime wedge or lime slices, or slices of kiwi, green apples, pears, and honeydew melon. And speaking of fruit, this reminds me of tropical drinks with umbrellas. Did you know that if you add either orange juice or pineapple juice to blue curacao, it will turn green? Add in a splash of coconut rum to the cocktail shaker, and the party is on!

Use food coloring in drinks and food. For coloring chocolate green, you need to use a special food dye that doesn't seize up your chocolate. Dip shot glasses in chocolate and sprinkles for some St. Patricks Day mischief.

How do I make St. Patrick's Day sprinkles?

Make your own lucky shamrock sprinkles by mixing various ones you have at home. Look for any shade of green light or dark. Use gold sparkling sugars, stars, or gold dragees. White looks great too and yellow will work just fine.

You can order some shamrock-shaped sprinkles online and mix those in as well. Use different shapes, sizes, nonpareils, hundreds-and-thousands, jimmies, sanding sugars, crystal sugars, pearl sugar, and dragees. Store them in a small mason jar.

How do you make green beer?

Take a tall glass or beer mug and chill it well in the freezer. Pour in an ice cold beer like ginger beer or any light color beer. Add a few drops of food-safe green color, it won't change the color of the beer. Sip and enjoy.

Just like they serve in the pubs of Ireland, make one of their original recipes, Irish Coffee! With a kick of Jameson Irish whiskey and or Baileys Irish Cream for an after dinner drink.

For dinner, serve the Best Corned Brisket you ever had! Pair it with classic sides like Roasted Cabbage, glazed carrots, rosemary baby gold potatoes, and Horseradish Cream Sauce.

Try a potato recipe for either creamy Mashed Potatoes or Smashed Potatoes all smothered with butter. Green Goddess dressing will go great on any salad. The silly Green Oreos are one of my original St. Paddy's day treats, and so many people still love them.
