Strawberry Cocktails are wonderful for romantic date nights, Valentine's Day, or summer celebrations and are low carb, low sugar, and low-calorie.
You won't miss a thing, and honestly, super sweet drinks are not as refreshing, so enjoy every sip of these "healthier" cocktails...
Let's Make Strawberry Cocktails
Years ago during the holidays, I researched ways to make cocktails without all the sugar syrup and came up with using stevia drops.
It saves calories and makes them friendly for those watching their carb and sugar intake.
What You Need
- 10 fresh strawberries
- 20 drops Stevia (liquid)
- 2-4 shots of vodka
- 2 squeezes orange or tangerine
- 2 cups ice
- 1 splash sparkling water
- 2 strawberry halves for heart garnish
Heart Garnish
Step 1: Simply slice the stem off, and cut the strawberry in half, lay it flat on the cutting board.
Step 2: Press a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to make the heart garnish. Cut in a tiny slice in the side, and slip on the glass rim.
It couldn't be more easy, right?!
Stevia is a sugar substitute extracted from the stevia plant and is calorie-free which is wonderful. One thing to know about stevia that it tastes so much sweeter than regular sugar, so a little goes a long way.
You can find stevia products right in your grocery store baking aisle, health stores, or online.
Stevia is available in both drops and in a powder to use in recipes. It saves calories and reduces sugar intake.
