The best bread should always be whole grain bread. You don't want to use white bread.
Use hearty, wholesome, whole grain artisan bread. If you want, you could even go the extra step and make your own whole-grain artisan bread.
Avocado Toast won't magically make the pounds melt off without any extra effort, but it can be part of a well-balanced weight loss plan.
The healthy fats in avocados make it a highly satisfying meal, so you'll stay full longer meaning you'll probably eat less overall.
How to Make Homemade Sriracha Salt
Speaking of making your own... I highly recommend making your own Sriracha Salt for this recipe. It's amazing and so much easier than you might think.
All you need
- ⅓ cup Sriracha sauce
- ½ cup kosher sea salt
To Make Sriracha Salt: mix the ingredients in a small bowl. Then spread on a dinner plate and microwave 1 minute at a time. Stir every 60 seconds with a fork, for 5 minutes total.
Sriracha salt will be slightly damp and will continue to dry as it cooks. Let it cool and dry for several hours on the counter overnight.
To Store: Store in small spice jars, or mason jars.
Enjoy With: guacamole, roasted vegetables, french fries, grilled fish, or try fruit: mango, pineapple, watermelon.

Here in Southern California where I live, many people have avocado trees in their backyard. I often have friends or family give me shopping bags at one time which is wonderful, so I use them in my cooking all the time. Here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy them...
