Cottontail EASTER Cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting, are a cute and fun Easter recipe and spring recipe. A perfect easy Easter dessert for kids!
Cute Cottontail Cupcakes, so easy and fun for Spring and Easter!
These just take minutes, and a few things from the craft store.
Buy or bake your own vanilla cupcakes, then frost with vanilla buttercream frosting, and decorations.
These cupcakes make me smile. I used to have pet bunnies, Forrest the “escape artist” and Cheeseball the “pizza begging bunny”. They were both quite mischievous!
- 12 baked Vanilla Cupcakes
- 3 sticks butter, softened at room temperature (1 1/2 cups)
- 5 cups Powder Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Milk
- Decorations: Wilton Bottoms Up Bunny Cupcake Decorating Kit Wilton Cupcake Wraps (white picket fence), and Chocolate Carrots
Bake cupcakes according to box directions. (or buy plain vanilla cupcakes from bakery)
In a stand mixer, or using a handheld mixer combine butter, powder sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
Use a small offset spatula to frost each cupcake, or pipe on cupcakes using a pastry bag.
Pour white sprinkles in a small dish, and dip and roll the top of the cupcake to coat with sprinkles.
Use more frosting a "glue" to stick on feet and tail.
Wrap Wilton each cupcake with a white picket fence cupcake wrapper.
