CoronaRita is simply defined as, “an overturned Corona bottle draining into a margarita.”
Works for me!
When you can’t quite decide between a frozen margarita and an icy cold Corona, then chose both and have a CoronaRita. This Corona margarita cocktail is THE answer on a hot day, special celebration, or game day. Perfect to serve at a backyard party, poolside this summer, or with any Mexican dish.

What to Serve with a CoronaRita (Corona Margarita)
How about serving these CoronaRitas with tacos, enchiladas, ceviche, or guacamole and chips? In Southern California, our love of Mexican cuisine is part of our everyday lifestyle. And in case you are wondering, yes I consider Mexican my favorite food of all time.
How to Make a CoronaRita (Corona Margarita) Step by Step
Anyone getting thirsty? Let’s make a CoronaRita!
Run cut lime around rim of glass.
Dip glass rim into sea salt poured on a small plate.
Pour margaritas from blender or pitcher into your glasses, carefully tip open Coronita (small 7 oz Corona beer) into glass.
That is it! Garnish your beer margarita with cut limes and colorful straws.
You can serve CoronaRitas in any glass, but the traditional Mexican handmade glasses are so beautiful! These have a dip in the bottom to hold the little 7 oz Coronita beers just right, but you can always tip the beer in and skip having it sticking out of the glass.
Corona / Coronita Beer Tips:
If you want the little beers icy cold, pop them in the freezer for 20 minutes right before serving.
Some margarita glasses have a dip in them that holds the little Corona beers called Coronitas. I found my glasses and pitcher at Home Goods, they were quite inexpensive. Large Corona beers would tip over the glass, try to use the little 7 oz Coronitas for this cocktail or use the Coronita clips made for this drink!
Corona sells clips online to hold beers in glasses just for this purpose, my glasses worked fine but test before your party. The beer can make the glass tippy so use some care!
