CAKE FROSTING2 cups salted butter - room temperature (4 sticks)1 cup vegetable shortening10 cups powder sugar4 tablespoons hot water1 tablespoon vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Mix cake batter, then mix up color batter 1/3 red and 1/3 blue, leave 1/3 white.
Pour alternating dollops of color batter into a pan and swirl with a skewer.
Bake the cake 350 degrees for 28 minutes, check for doneness with a skewer.
Whip up the frosting in a mixer.
Evenly spread the frosting on top and sides of the cake.
Place the blueberries in the upper left corner.
Place the raspberries point up in even rows down the cake.
Pipe stars using a large star tip down the cake in even rows and on sides.
