White Sangria Recipe

Serve this white wine sangria recipe for a light and refreshing summer sipper. It is great for July 4th celebrations, picnics, BBQ, cookouts, or any summer party. Made with sweet summer fruit and white wine, I infused strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, blueberries, and apples to get a "red, white, and blue" look. The sweet fruit gets mixed into the wine and looks so pretty and inviting on any hot summer day.

Serving Tips

  • Serve in a glass over ice, or with fun ice cubes frozen in different shapes. Try freezing fruit or berries into the ice cubes for a fun touch.
  • Add some additional splashes of sparkling water or champagne. Anything bubbly adds a festive sparkle!

Apple Stars

Are cut from ¼ round slices of apple. I used Granny Smith apples but any apples will work, cut the stars with small star cookie cutters, and placed the cut apple stars in a small bowl with freshly squeezed lemon juice to keep them a fresh white color.

What Other Fruit To Use for White Wine Sangria?

  • raspberries
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • watermelon
  • peaches
  • pineapple
  • lemons
  • oranges
  • apples

Wine Options

Use a 25-ounce bottle of crisp dry white wine, a sauvignon blanc, or pinot grigio that works well for this white sangria as it is lighter than chardonnay. I have used Chardonnay many times and it is delicious as well.

Sangria Tips

The basic idea of Sangria is to slice fruit so it infuses into the WHITE wine.  Let it chill in the fridge overnight in a large pitcher for at least 5 hours so the fruit can infuse. If you like it sweeter, stir in some sugar, apple juice, simple syrup, ginger ale, or 7up.
