Ingredients

  • 12 baked vanilla cupcakes in wrappers or Wilton silicone terra cotta pots from craft store
  • 3 sticks butter, softened at room temperature (or 1 1/2 cups)
  • 5 cups Powder Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • Decorations: Wilton Terra Cotta Pot Shaped Silicone Baking Cups 12-Count, Wilton Terragreen grass egg sprinkles, and small chocolate Easter bunnies (Hershey's)

Instructions

  • Bake cupcakes according to box directions. (or buy plain vanilla cupcakes from the bakery)
  • Make vanilla buttercream frosting: In a stand mixer, or using a handheld mixer combine butter, powder sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Use a small offset spatula to frost each cupcake, or pipe on cupcakes using a pastry bag.
  • Pour green "grass" sprinkles in a small dish, and dip and roll the top of the cupcake to coat with sprinkles.
  • Push the tip of a knife into the cupcake, and place the chocolate Easter bunny down into the cupcake.

Notes

*note, you can make these cupcakes in cute paper cups, the flower pots were just so cute I HAD to try them!
