Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin (canned puree)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Fall sprinkles
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ cup strong hot coffee

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, add milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar.
  • Heat up and stir with a whisk until hot, but don't let it boil.
  • Remove from heat, and whisk, immersion blender, or a frother to mix in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and coffee.
  • Pour into mugs, top with whip cream and pretty sprinkles.

Buying Puree

  • When you go to buy puree, canned pumpkin and pumpkin puree are the same thing. These terms can be confusing to consumers!
  • Some cans will say solid-pack, and that is puree which works for this recipe. BTW pumpkin pie filling is a totally different product that you don't want for this recipe.
  • I suggest you buy organic puree, with no additives or anything extra.
