Candy Cane Martinis ~ Plus Homemade Peppermint Vodka

Ingredients

Peppermint Vodka

  • 1 large bottle vodka
  • 16 full-size candy canes

Candy Cane Martinis

  • 2 full-size candy canes crushed reserve for rim garnish
  • 3 tablespoons Cream de Cacao - white clear
  • 2 tablespoons Peppermint Schnapps
  • Marshmallow Creme
  • 2 cups Peppermint Vodka homemade or buy

Instructions

Peppermint Vodka

  • Unwrap 14 full-size candy canes, crush in a food processor for 30 seconds or use a ziplock bag and a rolling pin. Crush to a fine powder.
  • Using a funnel, pour the candy powder into a large pretty glass decorative bottle and fill with vodka. Shake to mix, it will completely dissolve overnight.

Candy Cane Martinis

  • Garnish the martini glass rim: crush 2 full-size candy canes into small pieces. Use a ziplock bag and a rolling pin.
  • Dip the glass rim in marshmallow cream, spread on a plate, and then dip in the crushed candy cane on a second plate.
  • Combine 2 cups candy cane vodka (or peppermint vodka), 3 tablespoons white creme de cacao, and 2 tablespoons peppermint schnapps in an ice-filled cocktail shaker.
  • Shake vigorously. Pour into martini glass. Hang a candy cane off glass rim. Cheers
