Jalapeno Popper Dip Recipe

Jalapeno Popper Dip is always a hit! Make this melty hot appetizer for parties with simple pantry ingredients and scoop up with large corn chips. Double this recipe for large groups, it goes fast! It's so easy, and all the ingredients combine into utter flavor deliciousness!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 7 oz chopped mild green chilies drained
  • 4 oz diced mild jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese divided
  • ½ cup Panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • In a stand mixer, or with hand mixer or by hand in a large bowl, mix cream cheese and mayo until smooth.
  • Stir in chopped green chilis, chopped jalapeno, and ½ cup grated parmesan into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Pour into a small oven safe baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Mix ½ cup Panko and ½ cup parmesan together, and sprinkle on top of the dish.
  • Bake 375 degrees farenheit for 40 minutes.
  • Serve hot out of the oven with Fritos Scoops-large corn chips, tortilla chips or assorted crackers.

make ahead tip

You can make this dip ahead, and cover it with plastic wrap. Bring up to room temperature for about 30 minutes then bake at 375 for 40 minutes. 

serving

This dip is the best hot right out of the oven! For a large crowd of more than 12 people, I would double this recipe and bring a couple of bags of corn or tortilla chips.

jalapenos

 You can use fresh jalapenos, just dice them super fine and taste a piece to make sure they are not too hot!

cream cheese

 Full fat cream cheese is what I have always used for this recipe, and not sure about using a low fat version.
