Easy Homemade Granola keeps well in the fridge. Parfaits in Mason jars are a great make ahead breakfast with any yogurt, fruit, and a drizzle of honey!
Mason jars are a great container for breakfast. Assemble the night before and grab on your way out the door. Now you’re off to a healthy start of your day…
Put any flavor yogurt in the bottom of the jar, layer with homemade granola, top with fruit you love, and drizzle with honey. Pop on the lids and into the fridge. In minutes you have a healthy quick breakfast for on the go!
- 6 cups rolled oats not quick oats
- 1 cup wheaties cereal
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1 1/2 cup nuts chopped roughly pistachios and almonds pecans or sunflower seeds
- 1 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 3/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons vanilla extract
- yogurt of your choice
- fruit of your choice
- a drizzle of honey
Mix all wet ingredients until smooth.
Mix all dry ingredients.
Mix all ingredients, place in single layer on a large 10 x 15 sheet baking pans
Bake 225 degrees for 1 hour
Stir every 15 to 20 minutes while baking.
Remove from oven, stir every 20 minutes until cool. This prevents the granola from forming clumps.
In a small mason jar, layer yogurt, homemade granola, fruit, and drizzle with honey.
Put the lid on the mason jar and keep refrigerated.
Homemade granola keeps well in a ziplock bag or sealed container for a several weeks!
