Cheeseburger Sliders are mini burgers stuffed with cheddar cheese, spread with burger sauce, and oven-baked. The perfect party food for summer cookouts or celebrations like birthdays and graduation.
Juicy burgers are about as All-American as it gets. Easy hamburger sliders are great to serve a hungry crowd for a party or game-day food but will work for the whole family as an easy meal.
So much to love about these fun little cheeseburgers. They can work for a family dinner or patriotic holidays like July 4th and the burger sauce is delicious...
How To Make Cheeseburger Sliders
There are endless ways to make homemade sliders, but a fun way to make these is to line a baking sheet (or a 13-inch baking dish) which helps prep and clean up go so fast to make the hamburgers.
Kids can help make these individual burgers. Have them help with clean hands to form the individual patties with a little piece of cheese stuffed inside each one.
The best thing is, you can bake these classic cheeseburger sliders in the oven, and you won't have to fire up the grill!
Cheese Stuffed Mini Hamburger Patties
- 3 lb ground hamburger (85/15 works great)
- 24 ½" cubes cheddar cheese use a block of cheese
- 3 tablespoons BBQ Grill Rub your favorite or try mine!
- 1 cup Worcestershire
Stuffing your mini cheeseburgers with cheese is optional, but SO good!!
- Cut 24 cheddar cheese 1" cubes from a large block of cheese.
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, mix hamburger meat, grill rub, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Use a 2” ice cream scoop to get the burgers even-sized, place a ½" cube of cheddar cheese inside, and form into a ball. Place on the parchment-lined sheet pan.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Bake 400 degrees 20 minutes until well done, the internal temperature of 160 degrees.
- Assemble burgers: slice buns, spread the burger sauce on the inside tops of the rolls, stack lettuce, tomato, cooked burger, and ¼ of a Colby cheese slice.
- The perfect way to serve them is on a patriotic tray or in cupcake wrappers with a flag toothpick on top. These are easy for little hands to grab and enjoy at the party.
Assemble The Sliders
- 24 mini hamburger buns (or Hawaiian rolls)
- 1 cup burger sauce
- 24 cheese stuffed cooked hamburger patties
- 24 tomato slices
- ruffled bib lettuce
- 6 slices Colby cheese slices cut into quarters
How To Make Burger Sauce
In a medium bowl, mix ketchup, mayo, and relish (either dill or sweet) a splash of vinegar, and a pinch of sugar. This sauce is amazing and so easy!
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoon sugar

- ½ teaspoon sugar
Baked Hamburgers
- 24 mini hamburger buns
- 1 cup burger sauce
- 24 cheese stuffed cooked hamburger patties
- 24 tomato slices
- ruffled bib lettuce
- 6 slices Colby cheese slices cut into quarters
Instructions
Make the Burger Sauce
- Mix ketchup, mayo, and relish (either dill or sweet) vinegar and sugar. This sauce is SO easy and really makes the burgers amazing!
Oven Bake the Hamburgers
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Cut 24 cheddar cheese 1" cubes from a large block of cheese.

- Slice buns open, spread burger sauce on each side of the bun.
- Stack lettuce, tomato, burger, ¼ of a Colby cheese slice, and serve on a patriotic tray (or in cupcake wrappers) and stick a flag toothpick on top.
